Congratulations to Joe Galosic, Kevin Hahn and John Ward for victory in Estate of McPartland in Santa Clara Superior Court
We prevailed in a probate estate’s attempt to assess damages against Bank of America of almost $150,000. We had an uphill battle because Bank of America referred the file to us after having taken no action for an extended period of time which we were concerned would significantly prejudice it. The hearing on Thursday was essentially a bench trial with a witness from BofA required to be present. Joe handled the trial supported by John’s research and preparation of an excellent brief with Kevin’s collaboration. The court agreed with our position and denied the probate estate the requested damages. Well done Gentlemen!
Well done Nate in securing the discharge of an Order to Show Cause against Green Tree Financial earlier this week. This case involved an OSC issued by Judge Sargis in Sacramento against Green Tree threatening sanctions against Green Tree in the amount of $25,000 and other versions of relief that would have been costly.
A hearty congratulations goes to Tony Haynes and Damian Richard for their success in obtaining a unanimous verdict in favor of Central Mortgage Company, based in Little Rock, Arkansas, in an action filed by Panitz, himself an attorney. The trial lasted 8 days. The jury deliberated for about an hour before reading its verdict.
