The origins of MalcolmCisneros began in 1984 in the bankruptcy court in downtown Los Angeles where the firm’s founding partners met while clerking for Bankruptcy Judges.   Both founding partners were hired as law clerks following graduation from their respective law schools and served two one year terms for Bankruptcy Judges in Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Santa Ana.

The firm emphasizes its practice in the representation of the financial institutions in both bankruptcy and state court litigation.  We also represent financial institutions and commercial lessors in connection with eviction matters.  For a list of the specific services provided please refer to the section entitled Areas of Practice.

In addition to its representation of financial institutions, the firm also represents bankruptcy trustees as general counsel in both chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy cases.

MalcolmCisneros has extensive appellate practice, having been involved in appellate work at the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, District Court, 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
